The genesis way
In the realisation of a building project in the hotel sector, if a building owner does not have his own purchasing office he will hire a general contractor / property furnishings company (GC) to assume this role. The GC purchases all materials and services associated with this and then sells these, with the usual mark-up, to the building owner. This is where the genesis way comes in: a comprehensive GC contract is not required for the product groups FF&E as well as SOE. Genesis brings manufacturers and suppliers as well as the building owner together at one table and, on behalf of the building owner, places orders, controls deadlines and the quality of the deliveries up to handover, monitors the budget and oversees any warranty claims. genesis charges a fee for this which is usually more cost efficient than the costs of a GC contract.
